"I have been happily married for 16 years to my wonderful and supportive husband Steve. We have a 10 year old daughter named Amanda, a 15 year old Dachshund named Brandy, and a 4 year old cat named Mittens. I am currently a stay at home mother due to the current economic conditions here in the US. The company that I worked for had to close its doors. I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati in Architectural Engineering Technology, and I also have several years experience in basic Accounting functions. I have been paper crafting for approximately 9 years, starting out as a scrapbooker, then adding card making a year or so later. I was a Stampin Up demonstrator for approximately 4 years, and I just recently (within the past year) started using digital images on cards and other paper crafts. I have to admit I am as hooked on them as I am traditional stamping. This will be my very first Design Team experience, and I am so excited that I can hardly sit still. I love Softpencil Design digi images, and I will do my best to dazzle everyone when I use them!"

Illustration Friday - Music

Hello again! this week at Illustration Friday the theme is Music and it was suggested by Marina Hayes. I love this theme because I loooooove music! (I have been a music student when I was a teenager)
So, I took my hand-drawn illustration Two Birds, colored and added some textures by using Photoshop, re-named it "Singing birds" and... it´s ready!

Thanksgiving Day

Hello everyone!!!
I know today is Thanksgiving Day, I live in Argentina so we don´t celebrate this day but I thought it was a great opportunity to thank to all my customers, my fans, my Design Team girls and to everyone who takes the time to leave me a nice and encouraging comment. You really make my days!!!
I´m very friendly and my work allowed me to know people from all around the world and that it´s great! I really enjoy that! I have been an illustrator and a visual artist for many years but only seven months ago I started to design my line of digital stamps and thanks to that I knew the sweetest girls ever!!!
I have several dreams and one of these is being able to hug everyone of you and say you a big THANK YOU!!! You make possible Softpencil exists... ;)
So... thanks a lot to you all! and Happy Thanksgiving Day!!!

New printable calendars

Hello everyone!!! I´ve just finished these printable calendars for coloring and embellishing and I couldn´t wait for showing them to you!
I´ve used some of my designs that you already know and some of the illustrations of my sister Natalia. The calendar diagram was done by Mia from AiFactory, thank you Mia!!!

You can print this calendar, color and embellish it and get a great artwork for you or for giving like a gift! It makes an excellent Christmas/New Year gift...! ;)

Simon the cat and a sweet angel

Hello friends! First, I want to thank to everyone who wished a happy birthday to my Michula and a happy wedding anniversary to my hubby and me! we really appreciate all your warm words!!!

Today I´m very excited to introduce you Simon the cat, he is the new character recently created by my sister Natalia and named Simon by my niece Celeste :)
I know, you´re thinking that we´re a whole family of cat lovers... yes, we´re! we love cats!

Congratulations to me! ...and my hubby ;)

Woo hoo! Today it´s my 15th. Wedding Anniversary!!! I can´t believe it! the time really flies...!
We´re going to celebrate it with a short travel on January and with a dinner with the family today ;)


I wanted to do a card for my hubby but finally I decided to make a box for keeping our little memories, so I´ve recycled a little box.
I used a polka dot patterned paper to cover the box, some embellishments from Doodlebug Design, a yellow ribbon and a golden lace. The cream cardstock is recycled from a packaging and I made a custom digi-stamp, colored it by using Photoshop and printed out... that´s all! I hope you like it! ;)

I´ll post this box later on Going Green Crafters and Artists. Check this awesome blog if you like green crafts done with recycled materials and for getting some inspiration ;)

Happy Birthday Michula!!!

Hello everyone!!!
You already know Michu, my cutest character, and you know he is a cat. Well, I want to share with you these photos and the story of my real cat Michula who will be three years old on these days (unfortunately I don´t know the exact date)
She was my inspiration to create Michu and is the sweetest cat in the whole world! she brought me much happiness to my life!

I love cats (and all kind of animals) but I couldn´t have them because I´m allergic, so one day my hubby found a baby cat on the street, yes you read well, ON the street. At that moment he was riding a bycicle and talking by phone with me so he said me "there is a little cat on the street" and I replied "put it on the path or... bring me that cat!". Then he said me "you know that you can´t have animals" and I said "you´re right", but minutes later my hubby was at home with the lovely baby. She was so little and beautiful...!

(I thought she was a gift that I deserved because one year before, we found five new born cats on the street in a rainy day and they died approx. twenty days later. The veterinarian said me that they were too little for living without their mom and that I wasn´t guilty, anyway I felt guilty and sad and cried a loooot... I loved them!)

Some days later, I got sick due to Michula was in my house, but my doctor gave me a medicine and said me "keep the cat if you wish it, you´ll be well" and now I´m very well and very happy to have this awesome companion! She is with me all the day, now she´s on my desk looking at me... and blocking a part of the computer screen! :)

Michu and his happy flowers

Good morning!!! it's time to show off the DT's wonderful creations!

I won Etsy Inspired Challenge!!!

WOW!!! I´m so excited! I won EtsyInspired Challenge for the second time! Thanks a lot!!!
I won a tiny cute house and you know that I love miniatures so... I´ll enjoy it so much! :)



The Etsy shop chosen for that week was The Little Red Door, a lovely store where you can find hand-built ceramic miniatures as well as functional slab & wheel pottery. You MUST visit it!


I´ve done this digi-card by using two of my digital stamps, the house of "House Set 1" and the Teddy bear of "Happy Birthday". I´ve colored the image, made the paper, the sentiment and the embellishments by using Photoshop tools. I hope you like it! ;)

My sister and her Mandalas

Hello everyone!!!
Do you remember my niece, Celeste who is a little-great artist? today I want to introduce you the artwork of my sister, Natalia who´s Celeste´s mom, and that will be available in my Etsy shop soon.

Let´s her introduce her artwork...
"They´re hand-drawn Mandalas inspired by the Universe. The word "mandala" means circle in Sanskrit language and these designs are Hindu and have a mystic sense.
Painting or contemplating Mandalas help us to become more relaxed and concentrated and that gives us inner peace. Also, they´re very decorative designs so you can use these images on cards, crafts or for framing and hanging on your wall.
These three Mandalas belong to the Collection called Let´s celebrate the life"

"My name is Natalia Pujalka, I have a five years old daughter, Celeste and two lovely cats. I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, very near my sister´s house.
I´ve been drawing Mandalas and another designs for several years and selling my creations in local stores. I´m very thrilled to offer my designs on-line and in digital formats because this is a new market for me, but fortunately I count on with the help of my sister Elizabeth who is a great illustrator and has been selling her items on-line for a long time. I hope you like my Mandalas!"

Illustration Friday - Frozen

WOW! this is my first post for Illustration Friday! This week´s topic is "Frozen" and it was suggested by Trey Templin
Illustration Friday is a weekly illustration challenge. A topic is posted every Friday and then participants have all week to come up with their own interpretation.
So if you enjoy seeing illustrations and/or doing them, you have to visit its blog!

I made "Looking for my friend" by using my Wacom tablet and Adobe Illustrator, then I colored it by using Photoshop. I hope you like it! ;)
